Phonics for Children’s English Pronunciation

Phonics can help children notice how English sounds connect with print and practise pronunciation more consciously in words and short phrases.

What educational support covers

Activities can include listening discrimination, sound–letter matching, mouth-position modelling, vocabulary, and supported communication.

Important clinical boundary

Our Speech Development program is educational English support. It does not diagnose or treat speech delay or communication disorders. Families with developmental concerns should consult a paediatrician, audiologist, or licensed speech-language professional.

When private lessons may help

Individual lessons can provide more repetitions, a slower or faster pace, and materials selected around the child’s English-learning starting point.

Frequently asked questions

Is this speech-delay therapy?
